В Иркутском областном онкологическом диспансере (ИООД) впервые открыли отделение паллиативной медицинской помощи. Об этом сообщает пресс-служба правительства региона.
Новое паллиативное отделение ИООД рассчитано на 25 коек. Основная его задача – уход за тяжелобольными пациентами. До этого пациентов направляли в областной хоспис или в паллиативное отделение по месту жительства.
«Паллиативная помощь в системе здравоохранения — одно из приоритетных направлений. Этот вопрос имеет не только медицинское, но и социальное, общественное значение. Большое количество пациентов, нуждающихся в этом виде помощи, имеет именно злокачественные новообразования» — говорит в сообщении исполняющий обязанности министра здравоохранения области Алексей Шелехов.
Палаты отделения оснащены кроватями, каталками, колясками, аппаратами для очистки дыхательных путей, противопролежневыми матрасами и другим необходимым оборудованием и мебелью. Также там работают восемь квалифицированных психологов, оказывающие помощь пациентам.
Для открытия отделения были предоставлены денежные средства в рамках государственной программы «Развитие системы оказания паллиативной медицинской помощи».
«Поскольку со злокачественным новообразованием зачастую человек обращается в медучреждение уже на поздних стадиях, потребность в паллиативной помощи большая. Открытие отделения поможет многим людям облегчить тяжелейший этап их жизни» — приводятся в сообщении слова главного врача областного онкологического диспансера Романа Зубкова.
В дальнейшем отделение планируется расширить. Ежегодно в Иркутском областном онкологическом диспансере около 12 тыс. пациентов проходят лечение.
